Grammar
1. Main Verb/Helping Verb. Click the link Verbs and find the Main verb and Helping verb in each sentence.
2. Direct Objects. A direct object answers Whom? or What? after an action verb. EXAMPLE: Dad and I shoveled the snow. The action word is shoveled, so I say to myself shoveled what? shoveled snow. Snow is the Direct Object. Now try this one: Brian and I helped Michael in the yard.
If you said Michael, that is correct! Click the link Direct Objects.
3. Appositives. An appositive is a word or a phrase that identifies or explains a noun. We will be discussing this in more depth at our Google Hangout on April 29th @1:30. If you would like to try this out before then, click the link Appositives.
